Is the first lesson a free trial?

Yes. Your first lesson is a free 20-minute trial, giving you the chance to see if lessons are the right fit before committing.

What ages do you teach?

I teach students ages 5 and up.

Do I need previous singing experience?

No experience needed — complete beginners are welcome.

​

Are lessons only online?

Yes. All lessons are held online via Zoom.

​

Do you only offer online lessons in Australia?

No — lessons are available to students anywhere in the world.
All lesson times are scheduled in Melbourne, Australia time (AEST/AEDT depending on the season). When booking, please make sure to select the time slot that correctly matches your own time zone. Here is a helpful online time zone converter: timeanddate.com

When should I join the Zoom call for my lesson?

Please join the Zoom link at least 3 minutes before your scheduled start time.
You’ll enter a virtual waiting room, and Ri will admit you when the session begins.

What if I’m running late to my online lesson?

Please message Ri to let her know.
Your lesson will begin once you join and will still end at the original finish time.

What equipment do I need for online lessons?

A quiet space, a device with Zoom, stable internet, and optional headphones or speakers.
A setup guide will be sent to you once you've booked.

What should I do before my first lesson?

Please read the setup instructions sent to you by email and ensure everything is ready for your session. If you need help with Zoom or have any questions, let Ri know beforehand.
This helps your first lesson (and all future lessons!) run smoothly.

What should I bring to my first lesson?

  • A couple of songs you feel comfortable singing or would like to work on

  • Any goals you have for your singing journey

  • Water to sip during the session if needed

 

How are lesson notes provided?

Ri writes your lesson notes during the session and emails them as a PDF in the final minutes of the lesson.


Notes include:

  • Corrections and focus areas

  • Warm-ups used

  • Song links or video references
    These help guide your practice during the week.

How often should I/my child practise?

For best results, students should practise at least 3 times per week, revisiting the notes from their previous lesson.

​

Do you teach during school holidays or public holidays?

No. Lessons do not run during school holidays or public holidays.
